These sheets focus on the Chinese Medicine theory of the Liver and what it is responsible for in the body. The sheet lists the Liver’s responsibilities according to Chinese Medicine theory, and then gives a description of each, explaining further what each function does and how it affects the body and ultimately, health.
The Liver and Anger in Chinese Medicine – Emotions
These sheets focus on the emotion of anger and its association to the Liver. The sheet explains the how anger affects the Liver and the reverse, how the health of the Liver can affect our capacity for anger, resentment and frustration. These sheets also list some of the symptoms of a Liver imbalance so you are able to recognize if you are having a problem with either your Liver, or managing anger as well as some of the things we can do to make sure that we are emotionally healthy, and keep mind, body and spirit balanced and happy.
The Liver and Nutrition in Chinese Medicine – Food Therapy
These sheets focus on how to benefit your Liver using the foods you eat. It includes sections on the Liver’s responsibilities in Chinese Medicine, its association to the Spring season, what cooking methods benefit the Liver as well as which foods and herbs, which are broken into categories, are strengthening to the Liver. It also lists some Liver cleansing herbs you can use for Liver stagnation. The sheet also explains what causes Liver disharmony as well as a comprehensive list of symptoms so you are able to recognize if your Liver is out of balance.
